Experience Matters
The management team has a deep commitment to quality early childhood development and education and our combined experience working in this field is over 62 years. We are very proud of the program and confident in the teaching team and staff that we have assembled. Our Director has 20 years of experience in the childcare field and has been a teacher, educational coordinator, assistant director and director.Our educational coordinators have been with this program for 27 years combined. They have experience not only in the classrooms as teachers but with managing and mentoring teachers. Their knowledge of curriculums for infants, toddlers and preschoolers is a significant advantage to our teachers, parents and most importantly our children.

Ms. Kathy Evins Infant & Toddler Coordinator Kathy has 30 years of experience teaching and managing curriculums in early childhood development. She is a graduate of Miami Dade Community College and, since 1982, has worked in all functional levels of the childcare business from transportation coordinator to interim Director. more... |

Ms. Angela Dawkins Business Manager Angela graduated in December of 2007 from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, and a minor in Dance. Throughout college she participated in Colorguard with various organizations, and was a high school Colorguard instructor for three years. She has been with The Chastain School since June of 2008 and enjoys interacting with the children throughout the day. She is currently engaged to be married next Spring and is enjoying her new role in managing the business side of The Chastain School. more... |
 | Mrs. Tracey Starwood Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Assistant Tracey is a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a BS in Psychology and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the School. She is usually the first person you see when you walk in the door or the first voice you here when you call the school. Tracey along with her husband, co-owned a personal training studio named Results Fitness Center located in Smyrna for five years from 2004 --2009. Before coming to The Chastain School, she also worked part-time as a substitute teacher throughout the Cobb County school district. Tracey has spent many years volunteering as Team Mom and Treasurer for her sons’ basketball teams and with the Youth Outreach Program at her church. more... |
